Woke at 212.2 after hitting 209.0 post-workout last night. Had lunch out with the son of the co-inventor of the 'Scrum' IT development methodology. I met with his dad last week and we are working on getting a quote for a guidebook I'm writing. I ate a bacon cheeseburger without bun and a salad, but joined my guest in two beers. Weighed 212.6 coming home, so not bad.

Had a great lunch. Did a bacon cheeseburger without bun and a salad instead of fries, but did end up having two IPA beers with my guest. We do our best! :)

If you're going to have a beer IPA isn't a bad way to go. My brother's favorite. Hope all works out with your guidebook.

Thank you, Jim! It's doing great. Almost ready to publish the final version. Will have a cool dust cover quote now too from one of the fathers of the industry.

Hee! Hee! You do well at doing your best ... don't cha? Proud of that drop in weight for you. How cool you are doing a guidebook. Will you get to interview others and get more quotes? Ought to be fun to do.

I wrote it last summer but it had to through an extensive review and comment process. Near the end of that. Happy to say it's been very well received.

UPDATE: No workout for me tonight! My son Jason called from Norfolk Va. He has landed there for 24 hours on his way to San Diego to exit the Navy. Denise and I are going to drive down and spend the time with him. Then hopefully he will be home by next Friday when I have to move my daughter Emily from Michigan to Chicago. Nice surprise!

Thanks, friends! Having a nice visit. Only have time for a quick dinner out, some visiting, some breakfast and then he's on the plane. But hopefully we will have him home again by next weekend.

Jason says thank you, sir! On our way to a quick breakfast at waffle house and then to the airport by 11:30. Very short but fun visit but he's home for good in a week and ready to start a new chapter in his life!

It's 4:38 and just made it home from Norfolk. Poor Jason boarded the plane at 11:30 but didn't take off until 4pm due to a radio tower outage in the area! We nearly got home to DC faster than he got off the ground in Norfolk! Diet wise, didn't do too badly. Ate two eggs and six pieces of bacon. No waffles!
