Woke at 215.4 as the water weight from the last two days is still with me. Going to be hard to get to 208.2 or less tonight to match my weigh in three days ago. Targeting 1967 calories and will drink a lot of tea to flush out the kidneys. HIIT workout tonight and after IF in the morning. Halfway through the month at the IIFYM 'reckless' recommendation of 1967 calories and not doing what I'd like. May take the daily intake down to BMR plus 100 (1840).

Alot of time the calories reccomendations are two high. Fat Secret reccommends that I stay on 1700 to lose weight- Way too High....That is more of a maintenance calorie range if a female is in good shape with exercise!!

Thanks, Pam, Glen, and Jim! Yes, no way I go with the FS RDI. That laughable number was forgotten long ago. But the IIFYM seemed to be working. But what really happened (in April when I hit 192.0) is that I overindulged early in the month and that made me eat 1000-1500 for the last week or so. THAT's when I lost the weight. Can't eat that low long term, though...

Most of the calorie intake levels I've seen recommended have been way too high. It really depends on your height, too. Short men & women need way less calories than the six-foot tall individual. At 5'5", I gain if I go over 1400/day, and that's at about 130 lbs. with 1.5 hours of daily exercise. This whole business about consuming 2000 cals/day is for someone with a jackrabbit metabolism, and probably only 18 years old. If you really want to drop the weight, scoot down to 1500/day + exercise.

Thanks, Soon. It's funny how we all assume everybody knows our exact details. I guess I should say that I'm six feet tall and a man. My BMR is 1740 (according to IIFYM, but that's pretty consistent wherever you look). No doubt I'll be able to lose weight at 1500 a day as I continue to burn 3200 a day. Might do that as a jump start once or twice a week.

Came in the door at 215.6 after eating 1090 calories during the work day. Exact amount of water weight as yesterday. Not afraid to say I'm a bit disappointed in that. Will eat dinner and then work out after as there is no magic number I'll be able to hit by working out first. Maybe a night of good sleep is what I need.

You are a wonder - still tracking so well. Hey, how was the play the other night? It sounded fun!

Thank you, HCB! It was wonderful. Lots of great music and very entertaining. The small cast all were outstanding musicians. Met the lead actor after and bought a CD from him. Always a nice date night with my wife Denise.
