Draglist's Journal, 15 May 14

Happy hour tonight gained me a bit of water weight but hopefully will work it off tomorrow. Will do some weight lifting tonight to burn some calories. Still insisting on not carrying a calorie overage into the following day.

Just got my Fitbit Flex today. Will begin using it to track my exercise and sleep patterns. I am dubious about the number of calories my fitness equipment is claiming that Im burning. I'll go with what the Fitbit tells me and that -- I suspect -- should give me a lower number of calories burned.

Here are the 5/15/14 Tanita Numbers (post dinner and happy hour, pre workout):

Could you explain the Physique rating - 6? Is the range from 1 to 10 with 10 being excellent?

Curious to see how you like your Fitbit. I was on the verge of buying one, but I read some reviews that said it only picks up exercise when your wrist is moving (as in a walking/jogging/running motion). The reviews said if you are bicycling, doing elliptical, etc. that it wouldn't track that activity. Let us know how it works out.

I have a Fitbit One. You wear it on a clip. I wear mine in my pants pocket. It works on ellipticals, bicycling and of course running. Different activities will give you different step counts but it seems that over time they equal out. I am not sure if its my Fitbit "reading" better or my improved performance. I really like the sleep monitor option on the Fitbits. Sleep is such a vital component to being healthy and I did not realize how badly I have not been getting proper rest until I looked at the stats to prove it.

My plateau is still ongoing. Still nothing to eat after 7pm but lots of water during the day.
