Draglist's Journal, 31 Dec 13

Down to 222.6 after an adjustment day with lots of protein and some weight training at the end of the day. Glad to finish the year lower than my original goal of 225, which I hit on July 4. Then got as low as 208 but an incredibly indulgent (and fun) Christmas season popped me back up to 229.4. On the downward slope again and looking forward to an even healthier 2014. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you...:O)

What are Tanita numbers? I too have about 35 to go, and even though I had a stomach reduction surgery in June, I still struggle. It is common, because surgery is only a tool, after a bit, the responsibility still falls on us to change and develop good habits. I strive for 60 grms of protein a day, but struggle with appetite. (yeah, even after sugery). My starting weight was 268 on a 5'8" frame. I am now 207 and have stayed here for a few weeks. A little sad about the stall, and wondering what my body is trying to tell me. Ah well, it certainly is a journey, Happy New Year to you and yours. sheri

OMG - you have lost a whoppinbg 102 lb - what a way to start 2014. And to know you will be at goal this year, and into maintenance. Wow, bet that's a great feeling :) I too will make it to my own personal maintenance in 2014. I don't have that far to go and if - no, not if, when I stop pissing about and get on with it, I will be right there with you. thanks for being my friend this year, it's been great, looking forward to more of the same :)

One question... what is "metabolic age"?
31 Dec 13 by member: ClassicRocker
Metabolic age is your body's calorie burn compared to your age group, Kathy. :)

Awwww Bill, what a lovely thing to say. Love right back at ya. Have a MacCallan for me at midnight (you'll likely have had a couple by then anyway). I will raise my Grey Goose (on the rocks) to you. See you next year :)

Really interesting information. I've wondered how old my body would be considering the weight loss and exercising. And you're geezing at 55. Holy crap what am I at 62???
