Woke at 234.0, up 2.6 from yesterday. A friend came over and we went out for some drinks at a Mexican place. I stayed with red wine but did indulge in the tortilla chips and queso. I guess we are starting the diet break a day early. As for this upcoming diet break, I hope not to top 240 but that may not be realistic. I'm going to go where it takes me. Starting on April 1, I am going to start a hard cut. I am going to use the same ratio of intake to expenditure as when I started FatSecret in June 2012. Then, it was 1685 calories against an estimated daily burn of 3297 (both per the Body Weight Simulator app). I Iost 100 pounds in a year with that formula. That's 51 percent in vs. what I was estimated to burn even while sedentary. So I will use that formula and aim for 1400 calories average against my typical 2800 calorie burn. But I will do it via alternate day fasting, so for four days out of the week, I'll get approximately 2400 calories. This should be very doable. UPDATE: Back to 230.8 before dinner but then I ate a lot, including a Sonic Blast that I enjoyed to kick off the dirt break a bit early.

Have fun on the break and good luck with the new (old?) plan.

It's great that you log your food even when you go off plan. I do the opposite. If I am not eating the way I want and should be eating there is no food log. That's why my food log is basically empty for the past 6 months.

Love-when-you-use *your* numbers to make a plan 👍🏾 That's what helped me when I recently reduced my protein. I went "Lets see how much protein I had when I lost 30 pounds in 3 months..." Oh! it was a fraction of what I have had in the past 7 months, Ohhhh :)

I applaud the diligent recording. I've always wondered if I would have maintained better if I'd continued recording back in 2015 when I went off the rails. But more so I'm really interested in having the data for when I did regain but maintain the higher weight; what was the caloric total and ratio's to reach that max weight but not go higher despite the fact that I wasn't really consciously eating healthy. The thing is, even though you're on a break you still seem to be choosing healthy. I haven't seen a 'I ate this whole Mississippi Mud Pie' post. And that's good. You are definitely a person to watch.
