2/26/19 SUPPLEMENTAL LOG. Channeling my inner Captain Kirk for a supplemental log. I ate two cups of frozen strawberries last night with some protein powder, MCT oil powder, and collagen powder to make a great 'healthy ice cream.' Delicious but I freaked out about the carbs. UNTIL I had significant water and waste movement today, not to mention other typically testosterone-based effects last night if you get my drift. Might have been a coincidence, but maybe not. I might add a higher carb day once a week to see what happens. And I'm coming up on my quarterly 'diet break' that I plan every three months. For the last two weeks of March, I'm going to take a full break from the diet with an attempt to eat as much as I burn and to get 150-200 grams of carbs per day. Still going to be careful of sugar but otherwise, I'm going to give the body a break from the continual deficit I live in. Food for thought.

Good luck with trying new things out. For me, looking back on my data. I seem to only be able to 'burn fat', when I drive my carbs into the ground :) For me, my body simply wont burn fat unless I hitting <10 carbs "multiple days". Otherwise, I'm just 'moving water around'. The good news is that I can do 50-100 carbs and 'maintain'. Good luck!

Maybe those carbs helped lower cortisol? I don't know it's a game. I ate 6300 calories yesterday and dropped 3lbs today. Or maybe just a mystery..

Interesting. The high carbs on the deficit sabbatical.. Which ones? More fruit and veggies or breads?

I would not trust myself with a week or two - a day is all I can handle at this point. Great that you can do it.

I’m really interested in your diet break. Do you still track what you eat, just keep it at maintenance level instead of at a deficit?
