Woke at 228.8, up .4 from yesterday. Not sticking to my 1500 calorie goal, but 300 calories of protein coffee in the morning is taking away from my total. The crack chicken is pretty calorie heavy, though. UPDATE: Got to 2:30 and got hungry. Ate sardines and broccoli. Tested blood glucose in advance and was at 91. Will test again after an hour. UPDATE: Blood glucose about 80 minutes after I ate was 99. Solid. UPDATE: Good whoosh event today and hit 225.8 by 6 pm. Then Jason wanted to out for sushi, which may have set me back. Let's see in the morning! Will check blood sugar in 30 minutes to see what ramen noodles, a bit of sushi rice, and red wine did to me! UPDATE: And the number is... 165! So, I'm guessing that is largely the ramen noodles and a little bit of rice. I will do a red wine-only test tomorrow. But there is proof positive of the effects of simple carbs on my blood glucose.

I have been out of town but for 3 days ate carbs ... potatoes, bread, desserts, breaded jalpeno poppers and I can safely say I am NOT in ketosis now. LOL! Gained 4 pounds in 3 days. Yikes! Don't even need to check my BS. I know it is up. Brain fog, etc. Ketones were .4 this morning. Back to the drawing board.
