Draglist's Journal, 05 Jan 19

Woke at 230.2, down 3.6 from yesterday. Blood ketones were 1.4. Blood glucose was 90. Eating an egg and ground beef frittata and a cup of coffee. Will check both measurements again in one hour to see what effect that had. Resting heart rate 47 bpm after the fasting day. UPDATE: Took ketone and glucose readings one hour after breakfast. Got a good 92 reading on glucose, so the postprandial number for this meal at least was great. However, got a very disappointing .4 mm blood ketone reading. I only ate SIX grams of carbs! Not happy about this at all! UPDATE: Got to 228.8 at 5 pm. I took another blood glucose reading after eating some sausage for a late lunch and it was 68! Not sure I believe that.

Well .... to me ... getting that great glucose reading far outweighs the lower ketone reading. That's the big picture, right? No diabetes! Plus, you are dropping weight like crazy. Keep doing what you are doing. It's working.

Keep updating. This is interesting to me. I am lucky to get my blood sugar under 100.

That is pretty low. Hypoglycemic level. Keep checking. As long as you are not passing out ... you are okay. LOL!
