Draglist's Journal, 20 Nov 18

Woke at 223.6, same as yesterday. Read a few chapters of Tim Ferris's 4-Hour Body last night, and of course I jumped right to the Slow Carb Diet section. I also read some workout chapters. If what he is saying is true, I've been dancing around this method for years, but not recently. I cooked up a bunch of lentils last night and will eat them for most every meal. Started the day with four eggs and some lentils. One interesting thing is that he pretty much insists on a weekly cheat day. This is very similar to my old "indulge then adjust" and former member KingKeld's "Indulgence" theory. Lucky for me, this is Thanksgiving week so I will use Thursday as my cheat day. Plus, that's usually the night I have after hours events at work, so that will work for future happy hours. Tim's plan allows two glasses of red wine every night, so that is covered as well. It will be fun to see how this works. I'm excited to try it and it aligns with my plans to eat more to get the metabolism reset as well. UPDATE: Weighed 221.8 before going out to meeting Denise and some of her friends for dinner.

so no hard stuff but you can have the wine, interesting compromise.

That works well with Thursday. Any plan that allows for a cheat day and two glasses of wine sounds like a winner to me. Hope it works for you.

The book I am reading (I flipped ahead to the food chapters too) said to have one high carb/low fat day. No wine though. I like your book better. Ha Ha!😜
