Woke at 215.0, down 4.2 from yesterday. Feeling good and very dehydrated on day 3 of a 3-day fast! Will flush water and coffee today.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I was on vacation for three weeks and then had Denise's sister and family in town for another week (so that extended the fun)! Add to that, I have been catching up at work day and night. So did not get a chance to fill out my journals except for a photo here and there. With the month-long break in logging consistently, I realize that I need to streamline my journaling procedures.

As the Tanita scale shows wide swings in body fat day-to-day (which cannot possibly be true), I have for the past year or so attempted to compensate for that through some math. I'm not going to devote that time anymore, so the body fat and water percentage numbers I post going forward are going to vary widely. I spent several hours yesterday researching and attempting to determine if there was a way to calculate overnight dehydration that leads to body fat versus body water readings of up to ten pounds overnight. I could not figure it out and could find no research deep enough to explain the math.

As a result, I'm actually going to assume I have about 10 additional pounds of body fat (as the Tanita has reported I have between 34 to 55 pounds of body fat depending on which reading I believe!) That means I will have to maintain an average 1500 calorie deficit per day for CICO to burn all the available body fat I can metabolize. My plan is not to do that day-to-day, but to use fasting to 'catch up' when I get behind my average goal. Still trying to figure this out!

Of course, not to put all my eggs in one basket, I'm also going to do keto with a stricter reduction in carbs. Happy Sunday!

Thank you friends! No I’ve eaten more carbs than that but I am late on getting my food blog updated. I hope to catch set up today. My vacation really set me back in terms of my journaling and I didn’t do that well on my first two weeks back from vacation either!

Thank you, skwhite! Had a great time over the past month. Now trying to catch up on everything! Feeling great at 6 pm, so I think I'm going to make this at least 4-day fast and maybe even extend to 5 days if I feel good tomorrow night.

Thanks, Dawnie! Hey, Adef... I went back and filled in my food calendar from 7/23 to today. Actually, except for one night out with lots of beers, my carbs have been pretty low after all.
