I'm a sister, friend and mother of one. I took a break from FatSecret a while ago but came back in September 2022 because the community was always so encouraging. I got down to 172 in 2020 through intermittent fasting but steadily gained through 2021 as I mourn the sudden, unexpected passing of my father. I’m motivated to lose weight now as I have severe osteoarthritis in both knees and carrying this extra weight is now painful mentally and physically.

I weigh myself quite regularly, but I’m not as interested in the numbers on the scale as I am my waist to hip ratio, body water percentage and body fat percentage. I have a Polar Ignite watch to track my exercise and activity and a Tanita scale to help me keep perspective with my weigh ins. If you want to connect and encourage, get in touch.
